Envision Center Usage Rates

• Tiled wall: $63 / hour
• Access Grid: $23 /hour
• Haptics: $8 /hour
• Mocap: $14 /hour
• Portable units: $24 /hour
• Flex: $29 /hour

^note Some events such as AG events or major events in the Flex may also incur an additional charge for setup time.

These rates are for rooms only. If staff assistance is needed for events, the rate is $38/hr per person. This is primarily for events and such, not for research projects. Research projects should be handled as a percentage of the person’s time. Those rates are available individually if you need them.

We generally try to avoid renting out our students by the hour as we prefer to have them funded on assistantships. However, if necessary, the rate for undergrad students is $10/hr.

For each student on a research project, there is a lab usage fee of $3300 per semester ($2200 for the summer). This covers use of all general Envision equipment like the high res lab, office area, the video cameras and still cameras, portable projectors, web cams, gps, pdas, library, and supplies like CDs.
